Whether experiencing a duo or full band performance, expect a lively, thought-rocking smorgasbord where the Ocean’s weave their trademark satire with their thoughtful ballads and their collection of “poetic science” songs. (A few cover tunes are sprinkled in for added flavor.)

“Party for the Planet” Benefit Concerts
with The Jim Ocean Band
The Jim Ocean Band is hitting the road with the “Fossil Fools Tour” in support of the Frankenclime project. The band welcomes collaboration and is available to produce benefit concerts for social justice and environmental organizations.
Why this music and why now? Because the Earth needs a good garage band!
The “Poetic Science” Revue
Inspired by scientific discovery, the Oceans’ “poetic science” songs bridge the collective human mind to the collective human heart. Delivered with seriousness and humor, and peppered with a call to activism, this program is an invitation to take stock of our current moment in history and to appreciate the mystery, wonder and awe that surrounds us.

Sarcology 101: An Evening of Satire
A program chock-full of wickedly funny and thought-provoking social satire.

Jim Ocean’s original songs and is a spicy blend of live music, science news, “meta-quiz”, speaker interview
and audience Q&A. A stimulating food-for-thought potluck concocted from the interplay
between the audience, musicians, speakers, and hosts Jim and Kathy Ocean.
